Their Castlebar store is among the 26 stores nationwide that will be drawing the shutters, with an average of 12 or 13 employees in every store.

The decision was reached by the multinational company in the wake of falling sales figures which have made business unsustainable.
Their store on Hopkins Road in Castlebar will close for the next three days to prepare for a clearance sale starting on Sunday.
“New Look’s Irish operation has struggled for some years, impacted by a range of factors including supply-chain and in-market costs, and squeezed consumer spending," the company stated in the wake of Thursday’s decision.
"Our focus now is on supporting our colleagues through this process."
