Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the alleged incident of criminal damage in Castlebar.
Mayo Gardaí have appealed for witnesses in the wake of a suspected arson attack in Castlebar on Monday morning at around 1.45 am.
The suspected attack on a home in the Saleen area of the town saw Gardaí and firefighters rush to the scene to evacuate the home.
Three people were rescued after the door of the building was set alight.

A technical examination of the home has been completed, and Gardaí are appealing to members of the public for any information on the case, as well as potential witnesses of any suspicious activity in the region between the hours of 1.15 - 2 am.
Road users and pedestrians are being asked to contact the Gardaí, especially those who may have any video footage of the incident(including dash cam footage).
