Book on popular Mayo area surges to top of Amazon charts
The psychological thriller, titled 'BACK', details a woman returning home to bury her father
A brand new book from a Mayo author revolving around a mystery on Achill Island has received plenty of acclaim as it soared to the top of the Amazon charts.
On April 24, Achill native Katrina Gallagher released her second novel, off the back of her book 'Fifteen Ascending' in August of 2018.
Her latest release, titled 'BACK', revolves around the story of Agnes Morgan, a woman returning to Achill Island after 16 years away.
The purpose of this visit at Christmas is her father's funeral. However, a sense of unease and something not adding up forces Agnes to come face-to-face with her own past.
Since the release, the novel has fast gathered pace on the Amazon charts.
In fact, in the last couple of weeks, it has topped the Amazon Kindle New Release charts in the 'Death, Grief and Bereavement Fiction' section, while also peaking at number two in the 'Psychological Literary Fiction' section.
The book is available for free on the Kindle, while the paperback edition is priced at €15.
