North Mayo town all set for Christmas Jamboree

The concert will take place in the Broadhaven Bay Hotel in Belmullet on Friday next.

THE Christmas Jamboree Show in the Broadhaven Bay Hotel, Belmullet, on Friday, 12 December, is generating major interest across the region and patrons can look forward to a night of exceptional and quality entertainment.

The concert features John Glenn from Armagh, one of Ireland’s country legends, who is celebrating 50 years on the circuit, TR Dallas who will be making his first appearance for several years in Belmullet, and Matt Keane from Caherlistrane who always loves his trips to Erris.

Thomas McBride, son of Big Tom, is also on the show as is Mick Mulhern who always goes down a treat. Paddy Mullane, a 17 year old from Ballingarry, Limerick, is an amazing ballad singer, and is certain to get a huge Erris welcome on his first time to perform in Mayo.

The line-up also includes Sylvie and Deirdre Golden from Ballina, JP and Paul Ruddy, Kay Carey, and Michael S and Clodagh Togher. The acclaimed Ryan Turner Band will provide the music for all the acts and joining them on the night will be the legendary fiddle player, Charlie Arkins from Meath. The comperes for the night are Ger and Michael Commins.

The music gets underway in the afternoon from 3.30 to 5.30pm with Kay and The Country Stars in the bar to provide great fare for the early arrivals.

This show is rapidly heading for a sell-out so get your tickets (€35) early for the show of the year in Erris this Christmas. They can be booked in advance and held for collection on the night by calling Ger Commins on 087 6484334 and are also available to purchase from the hotel reception - 097 20600, Carr's Daybreak in Ballina and Hiney's Londis in Crossmolina.
