The McDonagh family from Geesala will feature on this Sunday's episode of Ireland's Fittest Family.
This Sunday, one Mayo family will appear on RTÉ’s well-known series, Ireland’s Fittest Family. The Mc Donagh family from Geesala will appear on this week's episode which will be shown on RTE One at 6.30pm.
The McDonagh family is made up of Pat, a coach at the local Geesala Boxing club, Leah who is an Irish Champion, Daniel who has made it to two All-Ireland finals and Matthew who has also competed at a high level in Boxing circles. In the past, Matthew has gone up against Paddy Donovan who recently fought in a world title fight where he controversially lost out.
No doubt the McDonagh family who have a huge love for the sport of boxing will give it their all as they compete against other families in the popular RTÉ series.
Paying tribute on Facebook was Cllr Gerry Coyle who said that the McDonagh’s are ‘wonderful pillars of the community’ and will be a ‘force to be reckoned with’ on Ireland’s Fittest Family.
You can tune in to watch the McDonagh family in action on Sunday evening from 6.30pm.
