Their performance was part of a larger collaboration with the renowned Letterkenny Pipe Band, based in County Donegal of which Conor Molloy is the Pipe Major.
On March 17, they marched down the famed 5th Avenue in the St Patrick's Day Parade, an event that has been a staple of Irish-American culture for over 260 years. The parade saw thousands of participants, including cultural organizations, Irish groups, and pipe bands, coming together to celebrate Irish heritage and history.
Just days earlier, on March 16th, the band also performed in the Throggs Neck Parade, an equally important local celebration. Throggs Neck, a vibrant neighborhood in the Bronx with deep Irish roots, welcomed the band with open arms.
For the all three, these performances marked an important moment in the celebration of Irish culture, and their appearance on St Patrick’s Day in New York showcased the continuing influence of Irish music and tradition in global celebrations.
