Teachers and pupils of Sáile NS on Achill Island supporting former pupil Toirlach Dever
A MAYO Gaeltacht school raised nearly €500 in support of a former pupil who will undergo a 24-hour run around the parish of Achill.
Fundraising efforts in Sáile NS on Achill Island today saw €450 raised for the epic fundraiser being run – literally – by a former pupil of the school.
Toirlach Dever will run all around Achill in an exhausting 24-hour run, starting in Currane at 3pm on Friday afternoon and finishing in Dooega at 3pm on Saturday.
He is fundraising for Grow Mental Health so keep an eye out for him on the roads of Achill on Friday and Saturday.
Children and staff at his former school send him the very best – go n-éirí an bóthar leis!
