Mayo's Ryan O’Donoghue, who was named as GAA.ie Football Player of the Week
Ryan O’Donoghue’s totemic performance in Mayo’s win over Kerry has seen him crowned the GAA.ie Football Player of the Week.

The Belmullet forward put on an exhibition in kicking on Saturday afternoon as Mayo put the Kingdom to the sword. The pick of his nine-point haul was his booming sideline point from under the stand.

O’Donoghue was nominated alongside Barry McCambridge of Armagh and Donegal’s Ciarán Thompson for the accolade, with people voting on the GAA’s Instagram page.
Mayo’s top scorer so far this season received 4,439 votes, putting him ahead of Thompson (3,383) and McCambridge (3,280).
