Basketball fans in Mayo should pay attention:
The Westport Warriors will host their second annual Adult Men’s Basketball Tournament. It will take place on Saturday, February 1, featuring teams from across the country.
Westport Warriors welcome back returning champions Annaghdown, who will look to defend their title against strong competition.
Tournament Director Kieran Conlan said: “We are delighted to welcome new teams to the tournament this year. Together with local rivals Castlebar, we also host two more Galway teams, Titans and Athenry.”
The event promises a day of exciting matchups, with teams vying for the coveted championship trophy. Last year’s winners Annaghdown will face tough challenges from teams like Titans who are eager to make their mark, and also our very own Westport Warrriors.

Westport Warriors would like to thank their tournament sponsors so far, especially Shane Keogh from the Helm, who has been a great help organising accommodation and the post tournament entertainment.
The first game tips-off begins at 9am on Saturday 1 February at Rice College, with games scheduled throughout the day. Basketball fans are encouraged to come out and support their local team in what is sure to be a thrilling competition.
