A vibrant day of activity, connection, and fun took place at Ballina Sports Centre as The North Mayo Active Age Sports Festival took place

Hosted by Mayo Sports Partnership, The North Mayo Active Age Sports Festival 2026 took place at Ballina Sports Centre, bringing together 50 enthusiastic participants for a vibrant day of activity, connection, and fun. With 10 percent male participation, the event reflected growing engagement across the community and created an inclusive and welcoming environment for all. Participants had the opportunity to try a range of enjoyable activities including Pickleball, Move to Music (Dance), Better Balance, and Activator Poles, all delivered in a supportive and social setting. The atmosphere throughout the day was fantastic, with great energy and plenty of smiles as everyone embraced the spirit of celebrating sport without limitations in Ballina.

A sincere thank you is extended to Ballina Sports Centre for providing such an excellent venue, and to all the tutors, volunteers, and participants who contributed to making the day such a success. The enthusiasm and support ensured a memorable experience for everyone involved. Everyone is encouraged to keep checking the webpage www.mayo.ie/sportspartnership for updates on future events and opportunities.
