Ballina Pumpkin Patch returns with new Halloween attractions for families

The popular event is back for the October Bank Holiday weekend, with new activities, autism-friendly sessions and a pumpkin for every child
The Ballina Pumpkin Patch is returning this October Bank Holiday weekend, promising three days of Halloween fun for families.
Following the success of its first event last year, the pumpkin patch will take place from Saturday, October 24, to Monday, October 26, with new attractions and activities for children of all ages.
This year’s additions include Wild West-themed games, target challenges and interactive activities, with a chance for families to explore the pumpkin patch and take Halloween photographs.
Every child attending the event will receive a pumpkin to take home.
Support local causes
The event will also raise funds for two important causes.
Proceeds will help support Ballina’s annual Christmas lights, which are organised by local volunteers each year.
Visitors will also have the option to make a donation to the Sunflower Children’s Hospice when purchasing their tickets.
The planned hospice in Castlebar will provide specialist care and support for children and young adults with life-limiting illnesses and their families across eight counties along the western seaboard.
Autism-friendly sessions
Special autism-friendly sessions will take place on Saturday, October 24, and Sunday, October 25, from 9.30am to 10.30am.
These sessions will have limited numbers, smaller crowds and reduced sensory stimulation to provide a quieter experience for children and families.
Opening times and ticket prices
The Ballina Pumpkin Patch will open on Saturday and Sunday from 9.30am to 4pm, and on Bank Holiday Monday from 9.30am to 2.30pm.
A single ticket costs €12 and includes admission and one pumpkin. Family tickets cost €30 for up to four people, with every child receiving a pumpkin.
Autism-friendly child tickets cost €12 and include free admission for one accompanying adult. Additional children attending these sessions can enter for €6 each.
Tickets are available exclusively on Eventbrite.
The event will go ahead regardless of the weather, and families are advised to wear suitable clothing and footwear.
