Gardaí launch appeal after woman seriously injuered by car in Mayo town

An Garda Síochána are appealing for witnesses to the incident on O'Rahilly Street/Bury Street, Ballina, Mayo

An Garda Síóchána in Mayo are appealing for witnesses in the wake of a pedestrian collision which left a woman with serious injuries.

The incident occurred in Ballina on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 8.

A woman in her 70s was seriously injured and transferred to Mayo University Hospital from the scene.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward, as well as anyone who may have any camera footage (including dash-cam videos), between 12 midday and 1 pm on O'Rahilly Street/Bury Street, Ballina.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Ballina Garda Station on 096 20567, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
