Planning permission is being sought by The European Refreshments Unlimited Company (Coca-Cola) for the development of its Mayo plant. The plans include new staff facilities and an expansion of the staff care park at the Ballina-based plant.
The new staff facilities are proposed to include changing and welfare facilities, as well as a staff canteen and kitchen facilities. Secure bicycle parking and improved drop-off and loading areas are also included.
The Cola-Cola plant in Ballina has a workforce of over 500 employees and is one of the largest employers in the north Mayo area.
The application was validated on November 3, and a planning decision is expected by early January 2026.
