Irish Rail's service in Mayo has been delayed due to issues at the Ballina Manulla Junction
The heavy-hitting impact of Storm Amy on Mayo has left a big mark on roads around the county, with fallen trees, heavy debris, and localised flooding some of the many issues felt by people from east to west and north to south.
However, the railway lines of Mayo have also fallen victim to the ferocious winds gripping the county and beyond.
Irish Rail have released a statement detailing that the trains between Ballina and the Manulla junction of the rail line are currently delayed due to a tree that has fallen across the line.
Staff from Irish Rail are on site trying to clear up the issue. Commuters are advised to keep an eye on all the rail company's official channels for any updates on the situation.
