An Garda Síochána in Mayo have launched an investigation into a number of incidents in Ballina yesterday (Tuesday, September 2).
The incidents of criminal damage by fire, which are alleged to have occurred in the early hours of the morning, occurred in the Parkside area of the town.
In light of the events, local Gardaí are appealing for anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area between the hours of 2 am and 2.30 am, as well as motorists travelling on the N26 between Ballina and Foxford who may be in possession of any dashcam footage between 2 am and 3 am, to contact Gardaí if they are in possession of any dash-cam footage.
