Mayo pub named as finalist in Irish bar of the year awards

One of best-loved venues in North Mayo, Paddy Mac’s, has officially been named a finalist in the 2025 Bar of the Year Awards, securing a place in the highly competitive People’s Choice Award – Best Bar in Connacht/Ulster category.

This year’s awards attracted over a record-breaking 1000 entries from across the country. Following months of rigorous assessment and intense deliberation, only the finest bars have made it through as finalists, placing Paddy Mac’s firmly among Ireland’s top-tier hospitality venues.

Organisers of the Bar of the Year Awards described this year’s competition as the most competitive to date, stating: “We are excited to honour the exceptional talents and extraordinary venues chosen as finalists. These trailblazers have continually elevated the industry, creating unforgettable experiences and setting new standards of excellence.”
