A Crossmolina woman has been selected to represent the county as ‘Miss Mayo’ at the 77th Miss Ireland competition later this week.
Chloe Moyles, who hails from the banks of the River Deel, will don the sash and head to Trim, County Meath for the national finals, which will take place on Saturday, June 14.

The event is a staple of the calendar and has been running since 1947. Now, with Chloe heading to the Knightsbrook Hotel in the heart of the Royal County, she’ll be aiming to earn the title previously won by the likes of Rosanna Davison and Mayo native Pamela Uba.
Ms Moyles, aged 24, has already achieved plenty in her life, having graduated from University of Limerick with qualifications in Pharmaceutical and Industrial Chemistry.
She has also worked and campaigned with many charitable organisations, including Mindspace Mayo, the UNESCO Child and Family Research Centre at the University of Galway, and Comhairle na nÓg.
The winner of Saturday’s event will also qualify to represent the country on the global stage at the Miss World competition in 2026.
