Charlotte Greham with her work "Inspiration"
Mayo artist Charlotte Greham from Ballina has had her prize-winning artwork on show at an exhibition in Letterkenny. The artwork from The Texaco Children’s Art Competition was on display at an exhibition of winning paintings to celebrate the 71 years of the Texaco Children’s Art Competition at the Regional Cultural Centre in Letterkenny.
Charlotte was a pupil last year at Breaffy national school, Ballina where she won first prize in the 12–13-year age category for her work entitled “Inspiration”. Charlotte’s artwork was described as “a finely executed representation of an artist at work” at the time by final adjudicator, Gary Granville, Professor Emeritus of Education at the National college of art and design.
The exhibition which features over 40 winning artworks from 16 different counties is open to the public from 11am-5pm (Tuesday-Friday) and from 1pm-5pm (Saturday’s) right up until Saturday June 7th. Admission is free.
