Fifth International Women’s Day Celebration is taking place at The Great National Hotel in Ballina
Mayo social media personality and nurse Laura Nash and Mayo County Council's Cllr Annie May Reape are among the special guests at upcoming event in Ballina.
The Ballina Chamber of Commerce’s has announced it's upcoming Fifth International Women’s Day Celebration, taking place on Friday, March 7th, 2025.
The event will be hosted at the Great National Hotel Ballina and aims to bring together the vibrant community of women in Ballina with this year’s theme, Stronger Together.
The event is an opportunity to support a meaningful cause, with proceeds going to a chosen charity partner, which will be announced soon.
The evening will begin with a drink’s reception at 7:00pm, followed by an inspiring programme featuring guest speakers, entertainment, and a fashion show.
Each guest will also receive a goodie bag as a token of appreciation.
Mary Moyles, President of Ballina Chamber of Commerce, said,
“International Women’s Day is a moment to honour the strength, resilience, and achievements of women in our community. This year’s theme, Stronger Together, resonates deeply with the spirit of Ballina, where we support and uplift one another. I am excited to see our community come together once again to celebrate and inspire each other.”

Mairéad Melody Carr, Manager of Mayo North Tourism, said,
“This celebration is a wonderful opportunity to recognise the incredible women who contribute so much to our vibrant community. It’s fantastic to see Ballina Chamber bring people together as always in such a meaningful way. It will be a fun, celebratory occasion for all.”
The theme of this year’s event, Stronger Together reflects a vision of unity, diversity, and support within the community.
It represents a commitment to a gender-equal world, where differences are valued and celebrated.
Tickets for the event are priced at €25 per person and are available through Eventbrite.
Guests are encouraged to secure their tickets early, as demand is expected to be high.
