The track, which also includes a long jump and a throwing area, will open its doors for the first time on March 19 at 1 pm.

The club, founded in 2019, is hosting a lip-sync battle on Saturday, March 29, in the Park Hotel, Kiltimagh in order to help raise the €400,000 cost. Two weeks out from the event, the nine groups involved have already raised over €22,000.

People can donate to the lip-sync battle here. Another option for raising funds is to sponsor a metre of the track here.

Tea and coffee will be available for those in attendance in Centra Bellaghy after the event.
