The 2 Johnnies interrupted by politician during podcast to respond to callout

More bins for dog faeces were the main 'bone' of contention discussed

The 2 Johnnies interrupted by politician during podcast to respond to callout

Johnny O'Brien and Johnny McMahon are The 2 Johnnies

A local politician surprised the 2 Johnnies this week when he arrived unannounced to respond to Johnny Smacks (aka McMahon) calling him out.

An ongoing trend in the popular podcast has seen one of the two hosts, Johnny Smacks, share stories of walking his dog and having to pick up it's poop and put it into his pocket, due to the lack of bins on his chosen walk route.

In response to this, Tipperary councillor Andy Moloney turned up to the podcast studio to interrupt their latest episode, which aired this Monday.

Cllr Moloney said: “I got new posters made-up from the county council, free yoga. It’s a picture of a fella bending over. It says number one, try bending over. Two, pick up your dog sh*t and three, put it in a street bin.”

An explosion of laughter followed from hosts Johnny B, Johnny Smacks and their producer Maura Fay - but Cllr Moloney didn't stop there.

He continued: “I’m just after coming up from the Swiss Bridge. There’s four bins in the car park, there’s two opposite the golf course, there’s one at the picnic table, there’s one at the Swiss Bridge and there’s five dispensers for dog sh*t and he (Johnny Smacks) still had to put it into his f*cking pocket.”

[Johnny B] “So this is in response to Johnny Smacks calling you out on last week’s podcast?”

[Cllr Moloney] “100% - is it a guide dog you have? He couldn’t see the bins like.”

[Johnny B] “How many bins in total are we looking at?”

[Cllr Moloney] “Eight and I’m getting in another one. I’ll have to get him a white cane.”

The conversation continued by Cllr Moloney, who is an independent councillor and will hope to be re-elected in the local elections to Tipperary County Council in June, sharing his plans to canvas for his candidacy.

He said: “We have the signs going up anyway, I was also doing my own signs for the election.”

[Johnny B] “Are you canvassing?”

[Cllr Moloney] “Yeah I’m starting today, I’ve just started now. I was up and down at the printers doing a bit of business - myself and Pepe the dog on the poster. Surely the most unique one. Pepe’s the brand ambassador.”
