The ESB Power Check site shows multiple power outages in Castlebar

Hundreds of Mayo homes look set to be without power during Storm Bram for the coming hours, as a series of power outages have been reported in Castlebar.

The power cuts have all been reported within the last hour on the ESB Power Check app today (Tuesday, December 9).

One in Glenisland affects 32, another in Ballyfarna will see 43 homes without power, while the largest report just outside Castlebar town in Horsepark means 354 customers are without electricity.

Further outages across the day have been reported in the Tawniyah region near Ireland West Airport, Knock, as well as Swinford and Kilmovee.

The website anticipates that all 429 properties will see services around the county town restored at 10 pm.
