AJ Doyle died in a crash in Australia over Easter weekend

Heartbroken friends have rallied to bring their friend home to Donegal after he died in a tragic crash in Australia.

AJ Doyle, aged in his 30s, was killed in a motorbike collision in Perth, Australia, over the Easter weekend.

To ‘assist with the financial burden’ on his family, AJ’s friends have organised a fundraiser to get him back home to Donegal.

Organised by Shona O’Donnell, the funds will also be used for The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust as well as to get AJ’s belongings back home.

This Sunday, April 7, they will be organising a memorial service in honour of AJ, who has been descried as a ‘lovely lad’.

“This will be held at Roe Gardens, Kings Park at 5pm. Everyone is welcome,” Shona said.

Since the tragic news broke, tributes have been pouring in for the young man, who was originally from Buncrana in Co Donegal.

"Help bring AJ back home to the hills of Donegal," said one of his friends.

Another one gone too soon, some man for the banter and craic, you will be missed," paid a friend in tribute alongside some pictures of AJ.
