The Carlow weatherman has given good and bad news

Alan O’Reilly of Carlow Weather has given his three day forecast for this years National Ploughing Championships.

Speaking from Screggan in county Offaly, the Ploughing Championships are in full swing and attendees are bracing themselves for what could be a very wet and mucky few days.

The Carlow Weatherman told our reporters on the ground that "you'll definitely want your wellies" over the coming days as heavy rain is expected on Tuesday night, making the ground soft, but it's looking more like a few showers on Wednesday.

While Thursday is looking uncertain, sunny spells, further showers, and breezy conditions can be expected.
