Ballinrobe Community School in Mayo is full of excitement these days.
The ladies senior football team will play their All-Ireland PPS Senior C final next week, Tuesday, March 24.
It's not a new situation for the school, who is well used to staying in competitions until the final decider.
"We won the Junior All-Ireland in 2024. And now, a lot of these girls are playing now on the same team," explains coach Ruth Donnellan, speaking to our Head of Sport Michael Gallagher.
Ballinrobe beat Antrim's Dominican College in All-Ireland semi-final in Fr Tierney Park Ballyshannon., on Friday, March 6.
It was a thriller that went to extra-time. The Ballinrobe team, coaches by Donnellan, Ruth Burke and Sinéad Stagg ensured, greatly thanks to an inspirational Kate Brennan, that they booked their ticket for the final.
Watch the full video, as we visited the school ahead of the big day for plenty of interviews, including chats with captain Ali Hughes and vice captain Emily Jennings.
