AUDIO Football podcast 2022 #15 Scene Set for the Week Ahead

Sport - Football Podcast

A big week lies ahead for Mayo GAA, with Championship matches involving the county taking place over the coming days at Senior, Under 20 and Minor (U17) levels. In this episode of the Mayo News Football Podcast, Mike Finnerty, Rob Murphy and John Gunnigan set the scene for what's going to be a busy week on and off the field.

The lads chat about the big match next Sunday, noting its huge importance for both teams and the trajectory they're aiming to be on this summer. They also review the first day's action in this year's Connacht SFC where both Leitrim and Sligo had to battle hard to get the better of London and New York respectively. In this episode there's also a look ahead to the Connacht U20 final between Mayo and Sligo on Wednesday night and the opening round of the Connacht U17 Championship on Friday evening.

This episode of the Mayo News Football Podcast is now online and is available to listen to on iTunes, SoundCloud, Podomatic and Spotify. You can also listen to it directly on the Mayo News website as well as on the Mayo GAA Blog.
