Sport - Football Podcast

In this mid-term review episode of the podcast, Mike chats with Malachy Clerkin of the Irish Times and with former Mayo player and RTE co-commentator Martin Carney about how Mayo's League campaign is going so far. Malachy outlines why he feels Mayo supporters have plenty to be optimistic about this year while Martin picks out some players who he feels need to impress in the coming week's ahead of the county's pivotal Connacht Championship meeting with Galway in late April.

Joining Mike on the show to look back on Kilmeena's marvellous All-Ireland JFC final victory is Stephen Drake, who was at Croke Park last Sunday to see the West Mayo club reach the summit. Stephen explains what he thinks Kilmeena now need to do to make an impact at Intermediate level and he looks at Jack Carney's chances of breaking into the Mayo team in the near future. We also hear from Kilmeena's manager John Reilly.
