AUDIO Football Podcast #18 Future plans

Sport - Football Podcast

With the New York trip now over, it's time to look ahead and in the latest episode of the Mayo New football podcast we do this in two respects. First, we cast our focus on the next challenge Mayo will face in this year's championship and then we look at the very positive coaching and development work that's underway within the county.

We start this podcast episode in the company of co-hosts Rob Murphy and John Gunnigan of the Mayo GAA Blog who met up on the terrace at Hyde Park on Sunday. They were there to cast their eyes over Roscommon and Leitrim, in the knowledge that the winners - which turned out to be Roscommon, in emphatic style - would advance to play Mayo in the Connacht semi-final the weekend after next.

The centrepiece of this episode, however, catapults us back to New York but this time for a very forward-looking discussion. While in New York Rob caught up with Liam Moffatt, Mayo GAA Coaching Officer, and Austin O'Malley, Mayo GAA Academy Manager, to chat about all the exciting work that's happening on coaching and development within Mayo GAA, where the focus is on setting high standards to ensure continued excellence into the future.

This latest episode of the Mayo News football podcast is now online and is available to listen to on iTunes, SoundCloud, Podomatic and Spotify. You can also listen to it directly on the Mayo GAA Blog.
