AUDIO Football Podcast #26: Tyrone down Mayo; Nominations in for Mayo manager
The Mayo minors went down with all guns blazing in Croke Park on Sunday, Edwin McGreal, Sean Rice and Mike Finnerty were all in headquarters and they chat to Rob Murphy. We hear the thoughts of John Maughan on a brave effort from the Connacht champions. We also hear from manager Tony Duffy and captain Cillian O'Connor.
The vacant managerial role in the county continues to provide plenty of talking points. We caught up with Mayo legend Martin Carney in Croke Park and asked him for his thoughts on the type of character needed for the role. We discuss the news that Mick O'Dwyer's name is cropping up in many different circles with certain county board representatives said to be backing such a move. The nomination list has some key names but many of the front runners are missing and have yet to show their cards.
