Una Gibbons (née Garvey)

Kilfaul, Partry, Co. Mayo

Una was born on November 28th 1959, to William and Mary Garvey, Church St, Charlestown. Una is pre deceased by her Parents. Una was blessed with a great sense of humour and was a firm favourite in her local community. After attending school in Charlestown,
Una began working in Baxter in Swinford before later going on to work with Western Care in Claremorris. During that time she met and married her husband Peter Gibbons which took place in Charlestown on October 6, 1990, and went on to welcome three sons, Peter, Brian and Conor. Visitors from home and abroad were always welcomed to her house.
Una, enjoyed going out to Bingo for many years and made some great friends. She thoroughly enjoyed her time singing with The Rock Rose House Choir which allowed her to showcase her love of music. During her time with the choir she got the opportunity to sing in places like The Linenhall Arts Centre,  Ireland West Airport Knock and McHale Park during a Connacht final.
Her faith was a huge part of her life, the rosary and prayers were often said to Our Lady and Padre Pio. She often went on Pilgrimages to Lough Derg, Lourdes and Medjugorje. Una was a regular visitor to Knock Shrine.
From her childhood years she had a great love of Enniscrone and any opportunity would go there for a holiday. Her family was the centre of her life and she was happiest surrounded by as many of them as possible.
Una is survived by her loving husband Peter, sons Peter, Brian and Conor, sisters Cathy and Marian, brothers Willie, Johnny and Bernie, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and wonderful friends. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
