Nora O'Malley

Curraccony, Killadoon, Louisburgh
Nora O’Malley (nee McDonnell, Thallabaun) passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, March 3. Born on March 1, 1914, Nora enjoyed a long life amongst her family until she reached her 93rd birthday. She was a wonderful, loving, caring and supportive wife to Pat Joe, who pre-deceased her in 1989, mother of Des (Roonith), Anne Marie (Moneen), James (Curraccony), Nora (Galway) and Edward (Moneen), mother-in-law to Eileen, Marian, Teresa and Tom, who predeceased her in 1982, grandmother to Marie, Pat, Don, Edward, Noreen, Mary, Patrick, Desmond, Stephen, Edwenia, Daniel and Michaela, great-grandmother to Aoibheann, Saoirse, Caoimhe, Jack and Ronan.
She is also mourned by her sister, Kathleen Fox (Liverpool), sister-in-law Nellie McDonnell (Dublin) and Pat Joe’s sister-in-law, Breda (Westport), nieces, nephews, friends, neighbours and their families.
Removal took place from her residence on Monday, March 5, when her remains were received into Killeen Church by Fr Mattie Long, PP. Interment took place in the adjoining cemetery following Requiem Mass celebrated by Fr Leo Morahan.
Nora will always be missed by those who love her. May her kind and gentle soul rest in peace.
