A Mayo bar is toasting major success following their win at the Irish Bar and Cocktail Awards.

David Hacobain and Nick Fajours, the co-proprietors of Infused Wine and Cocktail Bar in Westport, were thrilled to win big at the glitz and glamour ceremony in the Longcourt Hotel in Limerick.

The bar, located on Mill Street, only opened its doors to the public in August of last year. However, it has already proved a hit with punters, and now, some ten months on, the owners have seen their success honoured on the national stage.

The first category that Infused took home was the Connacht Wine Bar of the Year, as well as scooping the accolade of All-Ireland Newcomer of the Year.

One of the owners of the bar, David Hacobain, expressed his delight at winning big.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to receive these awards,” he stated. “It’s a real honour not just for us as a team, but for the incredible community that’s supported us since day one.

“This recognition fuels our passion to keep pushing the boundaries of what a wine and cocktail experience can be.”

Those feelings were echoed by his co-proprietor, Nick Fajours.

“Being named All-Ireland Newcomer of the Year is a dream come true,” said Mr Fajours. “Our goal was always to create something fresh, exciting, and rooted in quality, and this win tells us we’re on the right path.

“We’re incredibly proud and humbled.”
