A Status Orange Wind Warning has been issued for Mayo by Met Éireann for Storm Éowyn. The warning will be in place from 2am on Friday, January 24 until 5pm on Friday, January 24.
There is a potential that gale force southerly winds becoming westerly will bring severe, damaging and destructive gusts of up to 130km/h widely, with even higher gusts for a time.

Mayo County Council have stated that impacts may include: Fallen trees; Damage to power lines and power outages; Structural damage; Very difficult travelling conditions; Disruption and cancellations to transport and wave overtopping.
Met Éireann has also issued a status red wind warning for Cork, Clare, Kerry, and Limerick. The status red warning, classified as a 'danger to life', will be in effect from 3am to 10am on Friday.
