The Irish Speed Golf Open is set to take place at Castlebar Golf Club next weekend. The event on August 12 and 13 will bring together top Speed golf talent from around the globe, featuring world record holder and former European Tour player, Liz McKinnon from New Zealand, who remains unbeaten in Women Speed golf. Liz will face formidable competitors from England, Germany, Ireland, and France in this year's fiercely competitive women's tournament.
Joining her on the green will be Luke Willett, the PGA Pro and winner of the 2021 British Championship, known for being the first person to Speed golf all of the British Open venues.
Adding to the excitement is Gary Sobczak, affectionately known as Big Bill, who at 66 years of age will be hoping to replicate his success of last year where he was the inaugural winner of the Irish Speed golf Seniors section. Gary is a crowd favourite and globe trotter hailing all the way from Indiana.
