Thrilling Mayo Masters semi-finals sets up intriguing decider

The Ballyvary Blue Bombers and Snugboro United squads after their thrilling Masters semi-final.

Ballyvary Blue Bombers and Claremorris AFC will go head to head in the first ever Mayo Women's Masters Cup final, sponsored by Hurst Heating & Plumbing Supplies, after two thrilling semi-finals this week.
The Bombers edged out Snugboro in their narrow semi-final win, with Claremorris seeing off the challenge of Kilmore in the other semi-final.
Having lost to 'Boro in the league last week, the Bombers edged a tightly fought game on a 1-0 scoreline to secure their place in the final. Scoreless at half-time, Grace Lynch got the deciding goal on 27 minutes and the Bombers defence proved to be a fortress as anything Snugboro threw at them was repelled.
In the other semi-final it was a see-saw battle as Claremorris twice went in front only for Kilmore to peg them back. Goal number three on 27 minutes was followed up five minutes later by a second of the night for Emma Mullin as the south Mayo side progressed.
The final will be played on March 3 and promises to be a thriller.
One league game was also played this week with Ballyglass A running out 5-0 winners over Castlebar Celtic in Division One.
