Castlebar Celtic added the 2024 Westaro Cup to their trophy cabinet, with goals from Jordan Loftus, whose penalty sent Emmet Peyton the wrong way, and Luke Kelly, who got in at the back post - as he so often does - to finish Dylan Edwards’s clinical pass.

Town’s lead lasted two minutes. Conor Quinn’s clumsy challenge on Dylan Edwards saw the Celtic man hit the deck, and the referee point to the spot once again. Town ’keeper, Emmet Peyton picked up a yellow card for voicing his objection, and danced on the line before Jordan Loftus stepped up to level matters.
