Darts action returns to Mayo with the Grand Prix 2025 in Westport

The Grand Prix will take place at the Westport Country Lodge Hotel in Aughagower.

Westport is gearing up to welcome back an exciting darts competition, as the Westport Grand Prix 2025 takes centre stage on Saturday, November 1, at the Westport Country Lodge Hotel in Aughagower.

Hosted by Westport Town and Darts District, this eagerly anticipated event features both doubles and singles competitions, with 16 boards in play and a prize-fund totalling €4,000, based on 128 entries. Darts enthusiasts and competitors from near and far will have the chance to showcase their skills and vie for top honours.

Accommodation is available on-site at the venue, with rooms bookable by calling 098 56030, making it convenient for participants and supporters alike. Sponsorship opportunities are also open.

The following sponsorship options are available: Platinum sponsorship - €200 (Main board sponsor), Gold sponsorship - €100 (Joint double board sponsor): Silver sponsorship - €50 (Multi board sponsorship); Bronze sponsorship - (Prize donation). It's a great way for local businesses and fans to get involved in such an event.

The last Westport Grand Prix was held in 2019, with Martin 'Spuddy' McDonald taking home the singles title with John Patten and Seamus McManamon taking home the doubles title. This year promises to bring equally thrilling competition and community spirit as darts action returns to Westport after a long pause.

For players and fans looking to get involved or find out more, you can contact Westport Town and Darts District on Facebook or speak to any member of the Westport District League, who will be happy to point you in the right direction.
