Cyclist in 'serious' condition following crash between e-bike and car on busy road

A cyclist in his 20s is in a serious condition in hospital after a crash this evening between an e-bike and a car. 

Gardaí and emergency services were called to the scene on the N11 at the junction with Johnstown Road in Cabinteely, Co Dublin shortly before 5pm.

The cyclist in his 20s was seriously injured and rushed to hospital by ambulance where his condition is understood to be serious. 

Traffic diversions are in place as the scene is preserved for a technical examination by Garda forensic collision investigators.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward. Any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
