Two people arrested as gardaí investigate discovery of man's body in Wexford
Two people have been arrested as part of a Garda investigation into the discovery of a man's body in Wexford on Sunday.
In a statement, gardaí said they are "investigating all the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a body of a male, aged in his 20s in Shelmalier Commons, Co. Wexford this afternoon, Sunday 27th October 2024."
The body remains at the scene which is currently preserved.
The Garda National Technical Bureau have been notified and a technical examination of the scene is taking place.
"Gardaí have arrested a male aged in his 40s and a female in her 30s, and they are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda station in the Wexford Division," the statement added.

A Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) has been appointed to lead the investigation and an incident room has been established at Wexford Garda Station.
A Garda Family Liaison Officer (FLO) has been assigned to support the family of the deceased man.
Investigations are ongoing.
