Gardaí in the Longford Road Policing Unit this bank holiday have stopped a car going almost 100 km/h over the speed limit.
They stopped the car which was travelling 136 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.
Proof of insurance was also not provided to the Gardaí, the vehicle has been seized and the driver has been arrested.
Gardaí urge drivers to drive carefully and within speed limits.
