The detection made by gardai on the N11, close to Dublin city
A motorist is facing prosecution for multiple road traffic offences following a detection on one of the busiest road in the country.
Highlighting the incident on social media, gardai say they stopped a vehicle on the N11, close to Dublin city, after they were alerted to it not having Motor Tax.
"Irishtown gardaí stopped this car on the N11 in Dublin 4 after they spotted on their Mobility device that it hadn't been taxed for over a year and a half," reads the post.
It adds that gardai subsequently learned that the driver didn't have insurance or a driving licence or a valid NCT.
It's understood the car was seized and that criminal proceedings have been initiated.
The N11, which stretches from the Capital to Wexford, is one of the busiest roads in the country and is used by tens of thousands of vehicles every day.
