As a boost for air travelers, a new cafe and bar has officially opened its doors at Dublin Airport's Terminal 1, offering a delightful respite for passengers flying with Ryanair.

Named after the year Dublin Airport first opened its runways, Nineteen40, situated conveniently at the Ryanair gates, boasts a cozy ambiance for passengers gearing up for their trips abroad.

This cafe is just the beginning, as Dublin Airport has plans to introduce a total of 23 new and improved food and drink outlets across the terminals throughout 2024.

With a diverse menu featuring a range of premium coffee options and a curated selection of wines, Nineteen40 is well-positioned to become a popular choice for travelers seeking quality refreshments.

Vincent Harrison, Chief Commercial and Development Officer at daa, expressed excitement about the upcoming introductions. "Passengers are in for a treat in 2024 with a whole host of exciting new additions and improvements to the already fantastic line-up of bars and eating places in Dublin Airport," Harrison stated.

"We've listened closely to passengers and have heard loud and clear that they want more choice, including more gluten-free options, and by working with our partners, we are going to offer them more variety than ever before."

The highlight of Terminal 1 will be the creation of a world-class food hall featuring Korean and Thai street food options, an Arthur Guinness Bar, and a large Italian restaurant offering freshly made pizzas, pasta, gelato, crepes, and waffles.

Elsewhere, a range of brands are set to make their debut at Dublin Airport, including; Supermac's, Papa John’s, Insomnia Coffee, and Pret A Manger.

Existing favorites like Butler's Chocolate Cafe, Burger King, and Jump Juice will also be expanded.
