Dublin Airport has issued an update for passengers travelling on Monday after Storm Isha grounded almost 200 flights at the airport on Sunday.

In a statement overnight, Dublin Airport said: "While Dublin Airport has been open all day, Storm Isha has posed a significant challenge to both departing and arriving flights. As of 9.30pm, airlines have cancelled 148 flights - 75 incoming & 73 departing. 35 flights have diverted to other airports, with 27 go-arounds.

"Dublin Airport expects to be open and operational on Monday. Forecasts suggest wind speeds will remain high overnight and into Monday morning, but the wind direction is forecast to switch to a more favourable westerly direction.

"Passengers scheduled to fly out of Dublin Airport on Monday are advised to check directly with their airline regarding the status of their flight.

"Passengers seeking to re-book cancelled flights are encouraged to do this online to avoid unnecessary queuing at airline desks in the terminals at Dublin Airport which will be extra busy.

"Our advice to passengers flying out of Dublin Airport on Monday remains to arrive at their terminal two hours before a short-haul flight and three hours before a long-haul flight," they concluded.
