At present, Mayo homes are the third-most affordable on average in the country, with only Longford and Leitrim boasting cheaper average prices. The average price in the county is €200,000.

The average price of a four-bedroom semi-detached home in Mayo stands at €235,000 for the second quarter of 2025. This represents a hike of 3.52 percent on Q1, as well as a 4.44 percent increase on 2024.

The average of €235,000 is dwarfed by the highest average county, Dublin, with a median of €575,000. Once again, Mayo is the third-most affordable county in this regard.

It’s a similar story when it comes to the average two-bed apartment. Mayo apartments cost on average €190,000, up 33 percent on the first three months of the year. They are the fifth cheapest on average in the country.
