The cast of Castlebar Pantomime’s production of ‘Once Upon a Time in Pantoland!’
THE Pantomime is on its way back to Castlebar for the first time since 2019.
Following a Covid-induced hiatus, this Thursday, January 16, the TF Royal Theatre will again host the much-loved pantomime when ‘Once Upon a Time in Pantoland!’ comes to town with a large chorus and a talented and experienced leading cast.
Starring James Murray as the Toothfairy, Paul Roberts as King, John Morley as the Prince and Castlebar’s very own Larry Davis as Peter Pan, who is no stranger to the panto stage.
Also starring are Ethan McNea as Dame Tallulah Tickle, who is joined by her lively children Tommy (Natasha Crouch) and Tilly (Emma Daly) and a host of beloved pantomime characters as they face off against the wicked witch Mouldywart (Lorna Dennehy) and Snitch (Fran O’Leary) who has stolen the Spirit of Pantoland (Kate Loftus).
With the town’s laughter gone, it’s up to PC Pete (Damien Fee) and his faithful police dog Baxter (Ciaran Bailey) to solve the mystery while the Fairy Grandmother (Sabrina Nolan) tries to bring the citizens of Pantoland their ‘happily ever laughter’?
The production team comprises Sharon Lavelle and Emma Daly as Co-Directors, Jason Guthrie as Choreographer and Rebecca Cresham as Musical Director.
The show coincides with Castlebar Pantomime’s centenary year.
‘Once Upon a Time in Pantoland!’ takes place in the TF Royal Theatre from January 16 (sensory show) to January 18, with two Matineé performances on January 18 and 19. The show is suitable for audiences of all ages.
Tickets (from €18 and Family Ticket €65) are available at www.tfroyal.ie or on the door on the night.
