Westport Lions Club recently presented a cheque for €10,000 to the Westport branch of the Society of St Vincent de Paul for its annual Food Appeal. This wish to thank everyone who contributed their time and donations.
“The generosity shown by the people of Westport towards this annual Food Appeal was magnificent and we wish to thank them publicly. Our gratitude also to Rice College, Westport, and Westport Men's Shed for their support. Every contribution will directly benefit our community,” said Club member and organiser, Brendan O’Malley who added: “We are privileged to partner with the local St Vincent de Paul Society and we hope that this year’s Food Appeal contributions will help to ease the lot of the recipients.”
