Uisce Éireann crews have repaired a burst water main in Ballina and water is returning to customers.
An early morning burst on Cathedral Road affected customers on Clare Street, Howley Terrace and Bunree Road.
However, repairs were completed this afternoon, and the system is now recharging.
Uisce Éireann’s Colette Scahill thanked customers affected for their support, explaining that it may take a number of hours before a full supply returns to all customers, especially those on higher ground or at the end of the network.
“Uisce Éireann acknowledges the inconvenience caused by interruptions to the water supply and we very much appreciated our customers co-operation while we carried out the repairs.”
Members of the public can report any leaks in the public water network by contacting Uisce Éireann at 1800 278 278.
