Mayo road reopens after early morning two vehicle collision

The R321 reopened earlier this afternoon.

The R321 road from Kiltimagh to Bohola reopened earlier this afternoon after a road traffic collision earlier this morning necessitated its closure.

A collision between a motorbike and another vehicle occured shortly after 8am. Gardaí and the emergency services attended at the scene and the road was closed.

It is understood that the motorcyclist was taken to Mayo University Hospital with what have been described as 'serious' but 'not life threatening' injuries.

The R321 road reopened shortly after 2pm earlier this afternoon.
