Large crowds once again flocked to Islandeady for the annual Islandeady Fun Run, the proceed of which went towards the Islandeady Community Council and Islandeady GAA/LGFA.
Hosted by the Islandeady Cycling Club in partnership with Westport AC, the event drew participants from near and far to the West Mayo village.
Set against the picturesque backdrop of Jack's Old Cottage in Islandeady, Castlebar, the event featured both 5K and 10K routes that catered to participants of all fitness levels. Whether it was a leisurely walk or a competitive race, there was something for everyone. The scenic course, officially measured and certified by Athletics Ireland, was also chip-timed to ensure accurate results for all competitors.
The 5K participants enjoyed a single scenic loop, while the 10K competitors took on the challenge of completing the circuit twice.
