Mary was loved and appreciated by young and old, local and visitors for her kind and generous and affable approach to her role as the librarian in the local community. She delighted in promoting local writers and was always open to new ideas and hosting events in the library when asked. The new librarian, Martina, is wished all the best in the role by Mary Keane, and with those good wishes it seems assured she will excel too.
